Dear Editor,
Your city is about to host (on April 21 to 23) Felipe Calderón, the man who acts as president of Mexico as a result of an electoral fraud in July 2006. Other than that, it is important that you understand that this same Felipe Calderon, as secretary of energy, opened the doors to foreign –especifically Spanish—investment in the government owned electricity sector.
Once president, Calderon insured that the government owned hydroelectric plants were shutdown or operated at a lower capacity in order to buy electricity from these foreigners. This kind of corruption, which is usual under the PAN governments, would not cause any wonder except for the fact that because the government hydroelectric plants in Chiapas and Tabasco were shutdown the dams upstream were about to burst. The floodgates then had to be opened and the result was a catastrophic flood that in a couple of hours virtually destroyed the infrastructure of that Mexican state. Worse, there were many deaths and the actual number of victims is unknown.
I am sure you folks in New Orleáns can relate to these matters. The people of Tabasco did not have their cities destroyed then because of a hurricane as happened to your beautiful city. The people of Tabasco were flooded out of their homes and drowned because of the man you are about to host, Felipe Calderón, who wanted to make sure his cronies made a buck.
Sincerely
(firma)
